Board Meetings

Board Meetings are held at 6:30 PM, the fourth Thursday of each month at the Russian River Senior Center: 15010 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville, CA 95446.

Sunday, March 10, 2013 - Fort Ross - View a collection of magic lantern slides (glass slide photographs) taken by the grandfather of an Occidental resident. The subject is Russia immediately after the Bolshevik Revolution. These are amazing images never before published or seen, recently acquired by Anton Orlov, a Russian-American photo historian traveling around the U.S. in his Photo Palace Bus.

Saturday, October 6, 2012 - Join us for a "Women of the Past" tour of the Guerneville Pioneer Cemetery in honor of the women who were the backbone of pioneer families of the Russian River & Cazadero Communities. Tour starts at 2:00 PM. A $5 Donation is requested.

Directions: Follow Armstrong Woods Rd. North, turn right onto Woodland Drive and veer right up the hill. Cemetery is at the top. In consideration of the residents of Woodland Heights, we ask that you please carpool.

Saturday, May 6, 2012 - Join us for the Dedication of The Marshall House from Noon to 5:00 PM. Fundraiser BBQ, Live Music & Raffle. Dedication ceremony will be performed by Jane Barry, John Schubert, Diana Spain and Katrina Thurman and supervised by 5th District Supervisor Efren Carrillo.

Saturday, October 8, 2011 - Tour Guerneville's old Pioneer Cemetery. Tours start at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. These tours will commemorate the Civil War Veterans. The cemetery is located off Woodland Drive at the top of the hill above town. Carpool if you can as parking could be difficult. A $5 donation is requested.

Thursday, July 28, 2011 - 100TH Anniversary of the Monte Rio Variety Show, (formerly the Bohemian Show)

In preparation for the 100th Anniversary, we are requesting anyone who attended the show in the early years until 1960, to share you memory of the show.  We are looking for what you remember about your experience of the show, the entertainers who were there, and how you were encouraged to attend.  If you have any photos that you can share, we would love to see them.  We have applied for the Tuttle grant from the Community Foundation Sonoma County for monies to have a historical display of this great event.  Jog your memory and help us create a lasting commemorative display!

Sunday March 21, 2010 - Pot luck Luncheon at 1:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge in Guerneville. The topic will be "Fraternal Organizations."
