VOLUNTEER

Would you like to volunteer? We are constantly seeking new volunteers to join the Russian River Historical Society so that the work can be more evenly distributed. We are especially looking for volunteers who will be able to begin inputting information into the new computer, assist with the newsletter, as well as interviewing people so as to grow the library of oral histories.

Board Positions Available

Vice President
In the absence of or disability of the president, to perform all duties of the president. To research and organize speaker for quarterly events.

Recording Secretary
To keep a full and accurate record of the proceedings of the association as well as provide all officers with copies of the Articles of Association and By laws and Standing Rules. To keep minutes and advise each member of all meetings.

Treasurer
To supervise the receipt and safekeeping of all funds and cause them to be deposited in a financial institution designated by the Board of Directors. To pay all bills ordered paid, file paid bills and issue receipts for funds received. To keep a detailed, complete and accurate records of all transactions in the treasurer's accounting software system. To forward any change in the status of any member to the President, Corresponding Secretary or committee members may be informed as necessary.

Property Secretary
To maintain all technical equipment. To issue receipts for all properties received, see that proper cataloging is done, and that all properties are properly filed and preserved.
